SMART Targets
These targets are targets I came up up with to help get the grades that I aspire to get in my media exam and project
1) Using media terminology more often in essay writing this will be done by revising over media terms that Miss gave us and writing down the definitions.
2) My second target will be to do more essay writing to help improve the writing of my essay and use more terms that relate to the case study.
3) The third of my target is to come after school and do more of revision and finish off the project this will also be done at home and do revision from the revision booklet Mr holloway had given us.
These are the targets which Sir gave us to help us with the grade we need to achieve -
1)Download and read film institution support guide from blog and use in revision for exam.
2)Watch and analyse TV drama regularly with a focus on representations and how they are created through camera, mise en scene, sound and edit.
3)Complete Foundation Portfolio (coursework) including evaluation questions ASAP.

Improved version - Evaluation - Who would be the audience for your media product?
Our media products genre is on social realism and the audience that we have chosen are 15+ mainly for teenagers the reason behind this choice was that having a firsthand experience as being teenagers ourselves gave us the idea that creating a media product which attracted the teenage audience would be a great idea and would be something that the younger audience would take heed of and like and therefore would watch something that happened from day to day life. Our type of audience would be interested in our movie because it would be a reflection of their lives and the audience would like to see different approaches to different situations that happen in real-life and this is what our genre does, it reaches out to the youth with the same difficulties as Ozzy and they would find there common grounds and would be able to enjoy it. The genre for our movie is social realism and this choice was mainly to attract our audience base which is youths and older generation to view this real life, everyday happening situations.
Our film would reach out to the 15+ because it is the reflection of some of the teenagers out there who struggle to find the means to cope with education, romance and living in general and finding the means to cope with financial problems and providing for the people who they care about by doing this film our audience would get the idea of our media product and would be able to relate with the character Ozzy.
The main audience for our media product would attract those who mainly watch Social Realism film such as Adulthood , Kiddulthood and many more film to do with real life situation. These were the main movies that had similar stories to ours and mainly had similar target audiences for. These movies also had meaning to them and tried to reach out to the youth out there and this is exactly what we have aspired to do in our media product.
The reason behind choosing 15+ is because there was also drug dealing involved and we didn't want small children to be involved in watching this happen as it could be influencing them to do so. We also think that this would be the perfect age to inform younger kids the wrong and the good which we have included such as education and drug dealings, Unfortunately we see Ozzy taking the harder lifestyle such as 'Drugs' but later on the in the movie we see him being challenged and all bad comes with consequences such as 'Prison' and we see him through the struggles in his life.
The research and the planning of our opening sequence was a big part in helping to come up with our audience so it would help our decision in choosing our target audience this was done by mainly asking people in interviews to what age the media product should be and what age the audience should be this really helped us in finalising our decision for who the audience should be and what would appeal to them and what they would enjoy watching as far as what would be the best age group for the opening sequence.

In Researchiung about the about the Reviews of A Serious Man i have found out it was extremely hard for them to figure the Target Audience who had this to say " which category does it fall into? Tough to say. This is, most certainly, not a film for everyone. It is thick and dense and personal, a painful look at a man having a crisis not just of faith but of life, a Jewish edition of the Book of Job, whose ending befuddles even the most pious devotee of the brothers brand of cinema. It's hard to imagine who the target audience is, exactly".
